The Open Notebook of an Atypical Teenager

So I won’t post for a while. The first post I TECHNICALLY could do is Aug 3, but most likely I’ll be busy unpacking et cetera, so I’ll shoot for Aug 4. Bye again!

The tile says it all. Bye, people from the town in which I used to reside.  The movers are here now, and they pack all my stuff away, then I’m off to music camp and I get back and go to the airport, flying somewhere nearly 3000 miles away…

Bwahaha. 3000 hits. Woohoo!

No, I didn’t die. Sorry. 

On a random note, we’re almost at 3000 hits!

I thought I was really bad at bowling. But I went bowling today and turned out to be okay. I wasn’t sandbagging, which is the weird part. I used to be absolutely horrible, but today I was just feeling it. Lucky lane 1? Lucky bowling ball? We’ll never know, but I bowled pretty awesomely today.

Here’s what I think about American Football (inventor’s dialogue, if you will):

“Let’s take .. a ball. And just for the hell of it, let’s make it look screwed up, just to make the game harder. Now… let’s make the point of the game to get the ball on the other side! (boy, that’s creative.) But let’s make it easier, there are no goals or anything.. you just run right up to it. Wait, that’s too easy… GOT IT! The other people run up and tackle you! How deliciously violent! And when you go down… you make another play! Yay! But wait… there has to be a limit… 4 times sounds about right. And just for the hell of it, you can’t just throw it. Someone has to .. hmm.. chuck the ball in between their legs to you! Yay! And just for the hell of it, we award random extra points if you kick the ball between a .. an oversized fork sticking out of the ground! Awesome! Now we’ve got ourselves a game!”

Yup, American Football is a pretty lame concept. But since I know some football fan will say something, I will clarify a few things. 1. I still believe it is a sport (just a really dumb one). 2. I do understand the the game takes quite a lot of athleticism and skill to perform at a high level. And finally, 3. This is in no way the words or thoughts of the inventor of the game. I am not mocking or criticizing the inventor of the game. This is only a mockery of the game itself.

Wow, I haven’t posted in a while, so I’ll talk about other shows that start again soon.

Number 1: BURN NOTICE. I love it! It’s really awesome. A bit of everything you want in a show. It’s more than a spy show. Seriously. It’s great for practically everyone. Season 1 was cut short and almost cancelled, but Season 2 is here! Anyone and everyone should watch when Season 2 premieres this thursday 10 PM (July 10) on USA. 4.5-5/5 without question.

Number 2: EUREKA. It’s pretty good, actually. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was more than just a lame Sci-Fi show. It has a lot of elements that make a great show, and pulls it off rather well. Awesome, but Burn Notice tops it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still quite good (I only saw like 4 episodes though), Burn Notice beats a LOT of shows. I can’t think of many shows in its category that tops it… I believe Sci Fi channel July 29 is when Season 3 of Eureka kicks off. 4/5.

Bottom line: Burn Notice – Frikken amazing. Eureka – also kickass, just not as good.
