GlassBooth Quiz November 1, 2008

Wow. I haven’t posted in a /really/ long while…
Okay. In lieu of the very near elections (3 days 2 hours!!!!!), I strongly urge everyone (even if you’re not voting) to take this quiz. In history class on friday we all did, as a sort of class project, and I thought it was very very helpful. Even if you don’t support the candidate that comes up, it can be very interesting to review the results and see what the presidential candidates feel about topics in relation to what you think. The best part is they have the other parties too, besides Democrat and Republican!
Please keep in mind, this should only be one tool of many in not only determining which candidate to support, but also developing your political ideology (bandgeek, LOLLL). One of many. Don’t instantly vote for whoever comes up as number one on your quiz. Review their stuff. Research, research, research!!
So yes. Everyone, right now, go to glassbooth.org . Right now. Not only is it an extremely handy website for anyone, it’s really interesting!
Please don’t feel obligated, but if you want to, please put the candidate that ‘won’ your quiz into my poll. And then comment about it, talking about whatever you like (percentage similarity would be an interesting statistic). If you guys want to know, I have taken the quiz twice (the first time, I didn’t exactly know what all the stuff meant, so I did it again). The first time, I was ‘most compatible with’ Barack Obama, with 70%, the second time Cynthia McKinney (GREEN PARTY ALL THE WAY LOL) with 83%. Final note, if you don’t understand the question, don’t always go right to skipping it. Click on the blue link on the part you don’t understand. It will Wikipedia it. These definitions can be very helpful. If you still don’t understand, of course, please do skip the question.
Okay, I lied. Real final note. Please. This is your own personal quiz, not the media’s, your friends’, or your family’s. Answer what YOU honestly think. What do you believe in? What is your political ideology?
Please, take the quiz.
My Results:

Gay Rights 100% Find out why
THAT MEANS YOU’RE AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG WHY OH WHY everyone on this planet should be pro gay marriage. there’s no down side, it’s simply homophobia.
Wait why does that mean she’s against gay marriage?
because i saw barack obama’s thingy on that and it said “oppose” (in glassbooth)./ i sput strongly suport and thenm it said like 25% sim with Barack obama i was like whaaa??? and then it said that he opposesit. so if you’re 100% you oppose it.
ZOMGERZZZZZZZZZZ!
But he doesn’t oppose it! At least that’s what I’ve heard…
First of all, you can take my name off your post, thank you very much.
And second, I didn’t completely oppose it. I clicked the one before that, which means I’m mostly neutral, only a bit more towards the opposition. And that’s simply because although I don’t completely disagree with it, I’m not exactly encouraging it. At first I was all like, ‘no on prop 8′ but then I read the fine print and now I’m for it, or at least more for yes than I was before. (Mostly I just feel like if for example, you’re a man trapped in a woman’s body or vice versa, and you’re genuinely confused, then fine, go ahead and be gay. But more and more people are starting to think this is a fad and they pick their way of lifestyle to be like this. They aren’t gay to begin with.) Don’t ask me to go into detail about who/what I approve, because I really don’t feel like discussing my political views. And that’s rude how you single me out and start calling me a homophobic just because I disagree a little with what you think.
“everyone on this planet should be pro gay marriage” That’s your view. Not everyone else’s. Got it? You need to learn how to respect other people’s opinions. I’m seriously offended right now.
Name taken out. Sorry
I know where you clicked it.
“But more and more people are starting to think this is a fad and they pick their way of lifestyle to be like this. They aren’t gay to begin with.” If people are doing this, well, that’s just… weird. And so what if they do? I don’t think that we can deny them marriage, even if they’re not gay. Also, just to clarify, if the two people are in fact gay, do you allow/deny them the right to marry?
I’m sorry if I disrespected your opinion, which in retrospect I may have.
If you know where I clicked it, then how come you said that I was completely against gay marriage?
And yeah, seriously, you didn’t know that? Take Lindsay Lohan, for example. She’s not lesbian. Hell no. She just wants publicity, and since the media doesn’t care about her anymore because she’s a crackwhore, she out of the blue decides to go out with that Samantha person so that she can be in the headlines again. Just watch, once those 15 minutes are up, she’ll be bouncing back from guy to guy. She’s a disgrace to gays. And also, have you noticed how gay/lesbians have affected the media? I was watching tv one night, and it showed House, Grey’s Anatomy, and another weird show, and in all 3, it showed 2 women on top of one another. I hate how it is affecting the media like this. If you’re gay, that’s great, go get a room. There’s no need to advertise it everywhere and promote it. Back then, gays were truly gay. They were confused men trapped in women’s body, vice versa. I think it’s stupid how nowadays people are choosing the lifestyle just to ‘experiment’. However, to answer your question, if two people are truly gay, then I’m fine with them marrying eachother. That’s why I don’t completely approve gay marriage. But I don’t completely oppose it, either. I’m just leaning more towards one side than another.
“However, to answer your question, if two people are truly gay, then I’m fine with them marrying eachother.”
Well that’s good. However, at the altar (or wherever people get married, sorry for the Christian bias), there is no way of knowing if they’re really gay or not. I agree, I think lying about your sexual orientation for publicity is VERY stupid, but I still think they can get married, if they want. Just because some people aren’t gay, you can’t be against gay marriage and not let really gay people marry. Since there is no way to distinguish, I give the right to everybody.
Well, you have your opinion and I have mine. Yay.
But omg, I’ve been watching like, 4 different news channels (I keep switching back and forth, lol!) for like, the past 3 hours just to see who’s winning. My prediction is coming true, that Obama will win. Oh well, good for him. It won’t be so bad, as he’s going to get our troops out almost immediately.
So…
Prop 8 passed and Obama won. I guess I can count it as a win and a loss, lol!!
WHAT?!?! It says 51.3% to 48.7% with 60% of precincts reporting. That’s not a pass yet. You need 60% to pass a proposition, I think. And only 60% have reported.
And /of course/ Obama won. I don’t think very many people actually thought McCain had good chance….
Actually, McCain was very popular, and he was the favorite to win. That is, until he picked Sarah Palin as VP. That’s the reason he lost. Because he had that white trash as his VP. And actually, Prop 8 DID pass. Go look it up again.
Yeah I made a vow this morning that if Don said anything about prop 8 today that I would punch him in the face… lol
I agree, actually. McCain alone wouldn’t be the end of the world (actually, if he were planning on leaving Iraq, i would’ve seiously considered voting foe him), but with Palin it’s like…… NO. JUST NO. OH MY FREAKING GOD NO. WE CANNOT HAVE A 45-YEAR-OLD HAAWWWKEY MOM MYYYYYAVERICK VICE PRESIDENT OR WORSE PRESIDENT OF THE UNTED STATES OF AMERICA. loooooll
….prop….. 8…. passed. i personally condemn all 5,395,922 people that voted for it. and then i want all 5,395,922 people to come up to me and provide one reason they voted the way they did, religion aside. it doesn’t affect them, why vote yes to INHIBIT OTHER PEOPLE’S RIGHTS. THERE IS NO ADVERS AFFECT ON YOU, PERSON THAT VOTED YES! JUST ADVERSE FOR GAYS. it should be an absolute no brainer.
aurghhhh
Dude, you’re doing it again. Just because you were all ‘no on prop 8′ doesn’t mean that everyone has to agree with you. They have their own personal reasons, just like I have mine. Scroll up and read above if you forgot. It’s really rude how just because over 5 million people voted against what you believe, you think that they’re wrong, you’re right, and that they owe you an apology. That’s the stupidest logic ever. Obviously people have different opinions. You should respect that. “it should be an absolute no brainer.” Yeah, and those who voted yes might think the same about you. Seriously, just respect people’s opinions. You don’t know the entire story.
“…and that they owe you an apology”. No, I want them to explain to me. I, personally, see absolutely no reason in any stretch of the imagination to vote ‘yes’, so I want them to explain to me why they did! I want them to enlighten me!
“Yeah, and those who voted yes might think the same about you.” Then I want them to explain why. I’m not trying to disrespect anyone, I want to know WHY!
You’re reason: “But more and more people are starting to think this is a fad and they pick their way of lifestyle to be like this. They aren’t gay to begin with.” That is absolutely no reason to prevent gays from being married. Explain to me how people pretending to be gay for publicity relates to preventing same-sex couples from being married, and how it relates in a way where you find it necessary to inhibit the aforementioned peoples’ rights.
“You don’t know the entire story”. Really? If there’s something more than the proposition title involved (Proposition 8-Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry), then tell me.
““You don’t know the entire story”. Really? If there’s something more than the proposition title involved (Proposition 8-Eliminates Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry), then tell me.”
I meant that you don’t know the entire story behind their reasoning, not the proposition. And seriously, if people are that desperate, can’t they just go to Massachusetts, get married, and go back to wherever they came from? Just saying…
WHY MAKE THEM DO THAT? (oops sorry caps) Why not just legalize it in California? Why make them jump through those hoops?
And you’re evading my question. Please answer it. I will restate it:
Explain to me how people pretending to be gay for publicity relates to preventing same-sex couples from being married, and how it relates in a way where you find it necessary to inhibit the aforementioned peoples’ rights.
“Why not just legalize it in California? Why make them jump through those hoops?”
Because the fricken state of California voted for it!!!!!!!!! Got it? I’m obviously not several million people, okay? I’m just one person who believes in one side of the argument, which just happens to be against the side you’re on.
And ugh, forget it. I’m done explaining things several times over and over to you. And in case you forgot, in my second response, this is what I typed: “Don’t ask me to go into detail about who/what I approve, because I really don’t feel like discussing my political views” Okay? Scroll above and read it yourself in case you forgot. Now I think I’ve gone far above what I said I wouldn’t do, and I’m sick of this going on and on. If you want everybody who votes yes to tell you their reason, then go research. Go ask everyone in the state of California who voted yes exactly what their views are. I told you my explanation for several of your questions, and I hate how you constantly have more and more questions to ask, every single one of them just a rephrase of a question I already answered. (And btw, this happens with all your other posts, too.) Go read all of my responses and satisfy yourself. I’m tired, and I’m going to bed. And I don’t feel like commenting anymore on this stupid discussion. If you’re trying to get me to change my views by asking me more and more questions, it’s not working. It’s just annoying me.
